FlaWARN Virtual Regional Meetings 2020

FlaWARN was able to hold two of the regional meeting in March before travel was cancelled due to COVID-19. The other meetings will be held virtually using ZOOM.

There are a lot of exciting things happening this year with FlaWARN. After going through Hurricanes Irma and Michael, it was obvious that changes were needed to the FlaWARN event tracker and StormTracker. This year we are rolling out the Florida’s WATER Tracker which stands for Water Assistance Tracker & Emergency Response.

COVID 19 was a challenge for utilities and we will review how FlaWARN was able to assist utilities and how we will provide mutual aid during a pandemic.

The three regional meetings will each feature a FlaWARN regional coordinator speaking on various topics.
